The Staff of Magnus is part of the College of Winterhold Quests and follows immediately after. The lever is back and on the left. Bethesda Game Studios’ blockbuster open-world RPG puts. In the usual course of things the player must defeat and loot Nahkriin to obtain the staff, then place the staff back in the receptacle in order to open the portal again. Once the staff is returned to the receptacle, it cannot be retrieved any more. Welcome to my new mod Staves on Back. This is a small addon that let’s you display your staff in your back when you sheath it. I usually run a mage character and this have always bothered me, since i found time to create new mods and play again the game a bit this was my first attempt for Skyrim Special Edition.

Asking Neloth if you can aid him in his research may have him make a more personal request. He will explain his fascination with the staffs of Azra Nightwielder, the original Shadowmage, and will reveal that he has located one such staff in a random dungeon. The location is radiant, and can include dungeons both on Solstheim and in Skyrim. Skyrim is far more likely, as there are considerably more potential locations there. Retrieve the staff from the specified dungeon and return it to Neloth. He will reward you with a random generic staff from his own collection.Notes[edit]
*The quest can be done multiple times. At lower levels, it is one of the only side quests you will get from Neloth.
*The location of the staff will be a bandit camp, dragon lair, dragon priest lair, draugr crypt, Falmer hive, Forsworn camp, hagraven nest, vampire lair, or warlock lair; only locations which have a boss container will be chosen.Bugs[edit]
*If the dungeon is in Skyrim, the quest marker will point towards the Skyrim map marker in Solstheim. After collecting the staff, the quest marker will not be pointing to the Solstheim map marker in Skyrim.

The Staff Enchanter, found in Tel Mithryn, is used to create enchanted staves. It is initially located behind a locked door, requiring you to first complete the Reluctant Steward quest in order to gain access.
The Staff Enchanter does not require the Enchanting skill, but still increases the skill when used. In order to create an enchanted staff, you must possess an unenchanted staff of the type desired (unenchanted staves may be purchased from Neloth), know the spell with which you wish to enchant the staff, and possess enough heart stones needed to enchant the staff. There is no requirement that you be able to cast the spell you wish to use to enchant the staff; merely having read the spell tome for it is enough. Not all spells can be enchanted. For details about which spells can be enchanted and what the requirements are, see Craftable Staves. The number of heart stones used to enchant the staff has no effect on the amount of Enchanting skill experience earned.
